We all know it’s been cold from just before Christmas to most of this month. However, in a village in Russia this week, the temperature bottomed out at -88. Oymyakon is a village in the Siberia region of Russia–it claims to be the coldest place on Earth where people actually live. But that’s not even their all-time record low. That happened in Feb.-1933 when the temperature dropped to -90. Now, if you count December, January and February the three months of winter, we’re the past the half way point and it has to start warming up sometime. Doesn’t it?
