Poweshiek County Sheriff Tom Sheets has announced an open house for the new Poweshiek County Public Safety Building.
It will be next Friday from four till eight. Staff from all offices will be on hand for tours. This will be a unique opportunity for citizens to actually see the jail and its operations prior to bringing inmates into the jail. Refreshments will be provided.
The Poweshiek County Public Safety Center houses the Poweshiek County Jail, 911 Center, County Communications & Dispatch, Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management, & the Assistant County Attorney’s Office.
The County Public Safety Building is located just off highway 63 on the South side of Montezuma.
