8/27/10 LIBRARY OFFERS NEW EARLY OUT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM



THE DRAKE COMMUNITY LIBRARY IS OFFERING A NEW AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR EARLY OUT DAYS.
 
IT’S CALLED, Drake After School Happenings, or “DASH.” IT WILL OFFER THIRD THROUGH SIXTH GRADERS a variety of activities including games, science, arts and crafts, skills and hobbies, or movies, plus time to relax, read, snack and socialize with friends.
 
The first DASH date is NEXT WEDNESDAY, September first, and will FEATURE hands-on science experiments, art, and games using pennies.
 
The library staff is looking for adults who have hobbies or skills or interests they would be able to share with kids during DASH programs. FOR more information about DASH, or to offer ideas or volunteer, contact Brenda McDonald at the library AT 236- 2661.
