Need Jasper County Volunteers to Take Away Hunger

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host the Jasper County Take Away Hunger meal packaging event on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Local volunteers are asked to form a team of twelve people for one hour of time, and a donation of $35 per person ($420 per team).  Donations help cover the costs of the highly nutritious meals packaged for families with food insecurity. 

Everyone is invited to participate in this community service event.  This includes youth groups, service clubs, businesses, church groups, and individuals. Hundreds of Jasper County volunteers have worked together to help feed over 668,000 meals for families with food insecurity locally as well as other US states and countries throughout the world.

Jasper County Take Away Hunger is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit corporation dedicated to the goal of reducing hunger and feeding starving people throughout the world. Our approach to achieving this goal is the packaging of highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified meals by volunteers at locations around Jasper County, and the distribution of those meals to food insecure and starving children and their families both here in the United States and in many other countries through partnerships with humanitarian organizations worldwide.
