Free National Wildlife Refuge Week Family-Friendly Event
Mark your calendars to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week on Saturday,October 14, from 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge.This event will be filled with fun, educational, and family-friendly activities.Bring your friends and family and join us in celebration of the American bison
and our tall grass prairie heritage. Participate in wildlife and tall grass prairie-themed activities such as crafts, antler ring toss game, free wildlife stickers and milkweed seeds, coloring sheets, and more. Additionally, get an opportunity to view the bison (including 12 bison calves)and elk herds along the five-mile Prairie Wildlife Drive. Free loaner binoculars will be available.Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy views of the tall grass prairie while you dine in the indoor/outdoor eating areas.
