Charges Upgraded in April Domestic Altercation in Newton

A 59 year old Newton man allegedly threatened to kill his wife with a shotgun he had back in April. After additional investigation into the April 17th Domestic altercation, Newton Police charged Mark Alan Borman with 1st Degree Harassment yesterday (Wednesday). Borman is now free on a 2-thousand dollar bond. Newton Officers were called to the Borman home in the 600-block of East 11th Street South around 2p.m. April 17th. Borman was arrested for simple Domestic assault at the time, as his wife had no visible injuries. Police later learned about the threat to his wife, and that her breast implant had ruptured from him punching her in the chest. The County Attorney’s Office had already amended the Domestic Assault charge up-word, before the filing of the Harassment Charge Yesterday (Wednesday)
