Since Saturday morning Jasper County has recorded another COVID-19 related death and 27 and a half percent of the new COVID-19 tests in the county have come back positive. The coronavirus Iowa website says 131 tests were taken over the past two days and 36 came back positive. 33 new recoveries from the virus were also added to Jasper County’s total. As of this morning, 47 deaths in the county since the pandemic began have been attributed to COVID-19. There have been 13-thousand 4 coronavirus tests resulting in 2-thousand 384 confirmed cases. 1-thousand 594 of those cases so far have ended with recoveries. The County’s positivity rate for testing the past 14 days is 17.1-percent.
