A 55 year old Newton man accused of assaulting a Newton woman at the storage units south of Store for Homes was given a 10 year suspended prison term today. James Michael Fallon pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Burglary. District Court Judge Michael Jacobsen also fined Fallon 1-thousand 370-dollars and placed him on probation for 2 years. Around 7:30 in the evening  June 30th…Newton Police were contacted by the victim…who said Fallon reached into the vehicle she was sitting in and grabbed her shirt. She stated he slammed  her head into the dash, ripped a necklace off her neck, and removed sunglasses from her face and broke them. As part of a plea agreement, a 2nd Offense Possession of a Controlled Substance charge was dismissed. Several days after the storage unit incident…Fallon was arrested at the 1st Avenue East Kwik Star Store and allegedly had a bag of meth in his possession.
