Movies return to the big screen this Friday night at Valle Drive-In just west of Newton. Through social media and the Drive-In’s website…the business announced it would be welcoming movie-goers this weekend starting at 6:30 Friday night with the movies “Little Mermaid” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” The west one-third portion of the drive-in’s movie screen was blown off by strong winds in a late March storm, and was just recently repaired. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at the drive-in’s website. Those advance tickets are non-refundable, but guarantees entry into the drive-in, which accommodates up to 150 cars per night. The first movie starts at dusk, with a 15-20 minute intermission between the first and second movie. You must bring your own speaker/radio to listen to the movie or use your vehicle’s FM radio.
