Governor Kim Reynolds spokes yesterday with the task force she’s assembled to come up with a series of criminal  justice reforms. The group’s first meeting was yesterday. The Governor expects the panel to develop proposals to deal with racial biases in the prison system. She’s asked for their recommendations to be forwarded to her before the end of the year. She also wants proposals to help inmates transition to life and get a job once they are let out of prison.

Marshall County Attorney Jennifer Miller is part of the Governor’s FOCUS Committee on Criminal Justice Reform. FOCUS stands for Fueling Ongoing Collaboration and Uncovering Solutions.
