Food Bank of Iowa CEO Says Food Assistance Needs Continue to Grow Statewide

The Food Back of Iowa is conducting a series of statewide meetings to learn  about the issues facing those who don’t have enough food. One such meeting was held in Newton about two weeks ago. Food Bank of Iowa C-E-O Michelle Book claims food pantry representatives all say the need for their services continues to grow.

Book adds there’s another group that’s also been hit hard.

The meeting in Newton late last month was hosted by Altahouse. The Food Bank of Iowa serves food pantries in Jasper and our surrounding counties…and  those in over half the state.
