Newton Child Endangerment Suspect Released on Bond
A 37 year old Newton man arrested last (Wednesday) night for Child Endangerment is now free on a 2-thousand dollar bond. Newton Police say Michael James Dunn was arrested after officers responded to a 7:43 p.m. call about an assault at Courtyard Apartments at 1453 North 11th Avenue East.The criminal complaint says a witness took a video on her phone, of Dunn throwing his son to the ground and putting his body weight on him. He allegedly did this to discipline the boy for being verbally defiant. Also on the video…Dunn is allegedly seen laying on top of his son, screaming in his ear. The complaint claims Dunn has admitted to those actions.
