Newton High School Principal Bill Peters Retiring

Newton High School will have a new Principal next school year. Last night the Newton Board of Education approved the upcoming retirement of Bill Peters.

That’s Newton Superintendent Tom Messinger. School Board President Robyn Friedmand said Peters’ shoes will be hard to fill. Longtime School Board member Donna Cook added that Peters has contributed a lot to the District, and he truly cares about people and Newton’s Students. Peters was hired by the District on July 26th 2004. His retirement is effective at the end of this school year, at which time he’ll have served the District for about 20 years.
